who the heCK is this guy?

The best surfer in Rock Island, Illinois.

Favorite film of all time? ``Repo Man.''

A Winter Olympic quarterfinalist in Paper/Scissors/Rock, or as they called it in Reyjkavik, ``Pkkrr/Ssokkrz/Yriak.''

Once guest-starred on a Very Special Episode of ``Full House'' as a teenage runaway hooked on meth who was cured through the rockin' music of Jesse and the Rippers (which makes the whole Jodie Sweetin thing extremely ironic and sad for me, although I'm happy to see she's conquered her addiction and hosting ``Dance Off/Pants Off.'')

I like to take strong stands on important social issues (e.g. recently went out on a limb by stating ON THE RECORD that I thought nuclear war would be a reaaaaally bad idea. No letters, please!)

Oh, and one more thing: No, my brother, you cannot borrow a copy of my ``Hey Soul Classics.'' You will have to buy your own.

 * Writing the paranormal romantic comedy literary novel ``Synchronicity.''

* Produced and directed the Midwest independent theater premiere of the Broadway show ``The Pillowman.''

BIO

Sean Leary began his professional arts career at age 10, writing articles and drawing cartoons for the national newspaper The Comics Buyers Guide.

Throughout his teens he continued to write and illustrate for various newspapers and magazines, and played in a handful of punk and new wave bands, collaborating with such future luminaries as Erik Larsen (``Savage Dragon'') and Jimmy Chamberlain (Smashing Pumpkins).

During that time, he also had six gallery showings of his artworks and paintings, recorded three solo albums of instrumental music and was involved in a handful of theatrical productions in various capacities.

With My Verona Productions (the company he founded with Tristan Tapscott in 2004) Sean has produced 16 live stage shows and almost two dozen short films in conjunction with those shows. My Verona's cinematic collaborators on those productions, Bluebox Limited, have since been finalists in Project Greenlight and won the MTV Young Filmmakers Award.

Sean is the publisher of The Dingo, a humor anthology featuring stand-up comics and humor writers from across North America.

Sean has been published and been involved in the publishing of 16 books, including seven solo works: Sean Leary's Greatest Hits Volumes One and Two (collections of pop culture columns), Exorcising Ghosts (graphic novel), Your Favorite Band and Dingo Boogaloo (screenplays), Every Number Is Lucky To Someone (collection of short stories) and The Girl Of Dreams And Magick (collection of poetry).
